2Cucina Romana Hand Mixer
By Nature al lee
The mixer looks very nice and is quiet. i cannot tell any difference from any of the speeds....you turn it on and its hang on Martha we're on the way to the moon.....Also very deceiving is the name. It is the Xin Bao Company out of China...nothing Italian about it except the name.......Chinese all the way. The blades are very thin and have scratchy buttons on the bottom. The so called kneaders are very narrow, I have seen licorice with deeper twirls. I bought mine at Tuesday Morning for $29.99....glad I did'nt spend more. Its okay for $29.99 I guess, would rather have gotten a Sunbeam. I have Kitchen Aids, but wire whips dont do potatoes worth a darn, I like the flat blades for that.

5A Good Hand Mixer Makes ALL The Difference!
By Crystal
The Cucina Romana Hand Mixer is definitely above the cut. This is the quietest hand mixer I have ever owned AND it gets the job done extremely efficiently. I like the feel of the machine, it feels sturdy but is not too hefty. The weight is distributed properly and it stays up-right with the beaters on when it is set on the counter. If you read the next paragraph, you will see how I tested the machine for efficacy. I read the other review on here and I can tell you the person complaining about not being able to tell the difference between speeds is because they are used to loud mixers. Someone expecting sound to indicate speed will be easily confused if they are not an experienced baker/chef/cook.

I love, love, love the dough hooks and I do not bake bread. They are perfect for craming/mixing/"cutting" thick ingreadints if you do not own a large stand mixer! We have a family carrot cake recipe that calls for a very rich recipe of cream cheese frosting which i s basically equal parts cream cheese, butter, and confectioners sugar. The dough hooks pre-mixed TWO batches of cream cheese and butter in approximately 1/4 the time it used to take me to cut in ONE batch by hand (my old mixer could not do this so I did it by hand). I then used the regular attachments to add in the powdered sugar and this machine handled the thick mixture, from the lowest setting to the highest setting, without getting bogged down at all. My old mixer could not handle one batch without becomeing bogged down and the Cucina Romana cut through two batches like it was whipped cream. I was impressed for the price I paid.

4Whoa, hold tightly onto the handle!
By Paula Parker
It's very heavy duty and way more powerful than I needed. Even on the lowest setting, it will fling pumpkin mix onto the counters. It weighs a lot compared to my old one and appears to be very well made. It comes with dough attachments too which is nice if I ever decide to bake anything!
