5Love this hand mixer..
By MrsK
This little hand mixer is just right for those light jobs! "Light" being the operative word here. I have only had it a short time and made cookies, muffins and banana bread all on the same day. Although it handled everything fine, it was definitely a huge difference then my huge heavy duty stand mixer. What I mean is, when making the banana bread I felt it was a little harder on the hand mixer although it did handle everything fine, it just did not seem as easy as when it made the cookies and muffins later.

The slow start on all the speeds is a God Send. No batter flying and no flour all over my kitchen, like other models. Looks wise, this hand mixer should get an award. It is not only gorgeous but its functional! The red is such a nice cranberry, I love it! It matches my Vita-Mix that is the same color! Nice going with this color, sleek and stylish!

The swivel cord on the back of the unit is ok, I don't really need it to swivel to the right or left since I will be using it in the same place in my kitchen. It is lightweight, IMO but after making 3 different recipes, I got tired of holding it, I think I just prefer the stand mixer when doing a lot of things at once. The hand grip part that is black and is some kind of rubberized material and made it real comfortable to use and definitely comfortable on my hand. It is also so quiet!

This is a nice little tool for those lighter jobs that I am thankful to own and will hope its quality will stand the test of time. So far so good, but its only been less then a 2 weeks! I will update as I go if anything changes.

Update: I have now owned this for a few months and each I go to it it works like a dream. I have been using it to make puddings and beating egg whites lately instead of batter type foods. Still love it!

3Needs more power
By Troy Simpkins
This hand mixer is very nice on the eyes, has a beautiful expensive look and the digital controls are very nice, but honestly, it just seems underpowered. I made homemade caramel icing for a cake this Thanksgiving and even as the highest speed setting, it seemed to struggle once the icing got sort of thick. I expected more from a hand mixer with a $79.00 MSRP.

5Light and Variable
By Ketchikan Cook
This was a requested gift to replace a working mixer - a want rather than a need. But the first thought on using this was "why did I put up with that other cheap (mixer) for so long?" The Kitchenaid 7 mixer works even better than it looks. I know, its just a mixer, but small details... light weight, ease of use, easy grip, and the way it eases up to speed all make it worth the few extra $$$ (if it was more $$$ - I prefer to assume I am being spoiled here).

The old mixer was boxed and out the door to charity before the first batch was done.
